MESSAGE FROM THE VICE CHANCELLOR, INTI INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY 

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a vital part of INTI International University’s purpose in contributing to the sustainability of our communities.  As an institution, we have a responsibility to act and commit through our education and research, and as an organization to prudently conduct ourselves in ways consistent with what we learn and benchmark against.

The University has made some progress on energy conservation efforts on campuses through our ESG commitments since 2020.  The University has shown its commitment to the cause as a signatory to the race for Net Zero Emissions initiative with The QS and with plans to achieve Net Zero by 2030 through the efforts and commitments by the staff and students. Through our research and education, by the scale of our operations, and by engaging with partners and community, the University can profess ESG concerns with tact and care.   

INTI International University reckoned that it cannot do so on its own, and hence it is of vital importance to obtain public understanding of the significance of those commitments for the ESG initiatives to grow and mature in coming years.  The University is concerned with the challenges posed by climate change, geopolitical security and sustaining vibrant communities becoming more imminent.  The ESG statement reflects this understanding perfectly.  


To maintain our commitment to sustainability, the University must have the right instruments in place. This ESG Statement provides the University with a clear position on the principles underpinning its actions that are consistent with the ethics and values of the University.  INTI International University in relation to the diverse and complex nature of environmental, social and governance issues and strategies.  Leveraging the full scope of its research, teaching, engagement, and operational capabilities, IIU will continue to advance a proactive, multi-dimensional approach to meet its environmental, social and governance obligations.
