CSR Activities

CSR event at SJKC Damansara - Tropicana on 25 June 2023

A CSR event was conducted by Physiotherapy staff (Miss Fadhilah & Miss Haslina) at SJKC Damansara Tropicana on 25th June 2023 . The participants of this event come from school teachers, students and also parents. It was conducted to assess the posture among the participants and give basic physio advice on exercises and proper ergonomics to prevent health problems. At the end of the event, most of the participants were able to understand the importance of proper posture and basic exercises to prevent musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain


CSR event in Pusat Jagaan Wong & Chong, Seremban on 19th of April 2023 

"Move with Ease, Age with Grace" event conducted on the 19th of April 2023, Wednesday, from 8.00am to 12.30pm at Pusat Jagaan Wong & Chong S/B in Seremban by physiotherapy students and lecturers from INTI.

The project aimed to provide free physiotherapy, health screening and treatment to the elderly residents at the center. This event was a part of our contribution to the community as healthcare professionals. The event was published in local newspaper Nan Yang as well.

Anti-Plastics Campaign in INTI International University on 18th of July 2023 

Approximately 65 staff and students from INTI International University were involved in this event. In addition to the activities, posters and games, the team also put up a “pledge” to encourage staff and students to stop using disposable, single-use plastics with the motto “one person CAN make a difference”. The pledge drew 43 staff and students who made a promise to themselves and our environment to stop using these items and to be more aware of the environmental issues faced by us all.

USR Activities

USR for Nilai community 

INTI International University successfully facilitated a collaborative effort, wherein a total of 30 students and staff participated, to make a positive impact on the Nilai Community.

KeeperKu Programme

On March 11, 2023, Saturday, the first USR was held at Zoo Negara with the goal of raising awareness about animal welfare and conservation. There were 30 INTI students present, as well as 5 FELA academicians (Dr Ng – Dean, Ms Azureen – MPU HOP, Ms Suhaila – subject lecturer, Ms Nurien – lecturer, Dr Wan Husna – senior lecturer). 

This Zoo Negara KeeperKu Programme is only open to students aged 13 and up from schools, colleges, and universities in Malaysia. All volunteers who took part in this program were assigned tasks such as cleaning up the zoo compound, mending some repairs, feeding the animals, and so on for an 8-hour period beginning at 8 a.m.

Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue (MIAR)

On March 16, 2023, 10am, MPU3442, Section 1A, Group 1 initiated a USR project at Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue (MIAR) in Semenyih. This project was carried out by 8 members of the group, led by Koh Vy Tran and accompanied by Ms Fang Yi Xue from FELA. 

The project aims to raise public awareness and promote MIAR in order to aid in the long-term development of MIAR and to provide students with an opportunity to give back to society. MIAR has benefited from the student's fundraising event by receiving animal urinary pads, 60kg of rice, dog food, and dish soap through this project.

Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Rhema Orphanage

On March 16, 2023, 2pm, students from INTI International University worked together to help children at the Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Rhema Orphanage. This project was supervised by Foo Kim Eng from Faculty of Engineering and Quantity Surveying (FEQS) and Fang Yi Xue from Faculty of Education and Liberal Arts (FELA). The orphanage has 10 kids aged 8 to 16, including one child with special needs. Besides, students played two fun games with the children. One of the games was called "green light red light," which comes from a popular Korean TV show called Squid Game. The kids really enjoyed playing this game.
